Katherine Bergeron has been named dean of the college at Brown University, where she previously was chair of the Department of Music. She now is the college’s highest undergraduate academic official; her responsibilities include curriculum, academic advising, international programs and instruction. Bergeron earned a doctorate in music from Cornell University in 1989.
