The waiting period also expired for Albertsons’ proposed transaction with Supervalu, and a consortium led by Cerberus Capital, thereby satisfying a closing condition of the transaction. The transaction remains subject to approval by the shareholders of Albertson’s and Supervalu as well as other customary closing conditions, and is expected to close in mid 2006.
