Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen for the second consecutive week, Monday, by an average of 6 cents per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Feb. 6 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve unleaded regular averaging $2.319 per gallon, 6 cents less than last week. It’s the first time prices have fallen two straight weeks since late last November. A year ago at this time, the average price was $1.949.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for regular unleaded is 26 cents, from a low of $2.19 to a high of $2.45. Motorists should continue to shop around for the best prices in their area, AAA said.
