Rhode Island will receive nearly $12 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to expand affordable housing, revitalize neighborhoods and economic development, U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-RI, announced.
The $11,748,769 is $397,733 less than Rhode Island received last year. Budget cuts to the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership program (HOME) contributed to the reduction.
