Lynch Corp. announced Tuesday the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Providence to 140 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich, Conn. The move involves corporate headquarters only and does not affect employment at the company’s design and manufacturing operations in Yankton, S.D.; Orlando, Fla.; or Bainbridge, Ga., the company said in a PR Newswire release.
The reason for the move is the recently announced change in the senior management team, the company said. In September 2004, the company announced that Marc Gabelli had been elected to the board of directors and named chairman. In October 2004, John C. Ferrara was named president and CEO.

Lynch recently acquired Piezo Technology Inc. (PTI) through a wholly owned subsidiary, M-tron Industries Inc., which designs and manufactures electronic components used primarily to control the frequency or timing of electronic signals in communications systems and equipment. PTI makes a complementary line of precision oscillators, resonators and filters used in a broad range of commercial and military electronic and communications systems. The two companies are integrating their operations under the new name MtronPTI.
The company’s other operating unit is Lynch Systems, Bainbridge, Ga., which designs, develops and manufactures a broad array of capital equipment for the CRT display and consumer tableware industries.
