Ronald L. Martel has been appointed dean of students at the Providence campus of Johnson & Wales University. He is responsible for student activities, residential life, student conduct, parent relations, student counseling, the Multicultural Center, health services, and the Women’s Center. Martel most recently served as Temple University’s interim associate vice president for student affairs. He received an associate’s degree from the Community College of Rhode Island, bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University, master’s degree from Bryant College, and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Connecticut.
