Fred J. Franklin has been named general counsel and chief operating officer of Providence-based StrategicPoint Investment Advisors LLC. His responsibilities include operations, finances, human resources, and legal and regulatory affairs including compliance. Franklin also serves as a member of the senior management team for the company. He brings a wealth of experience in the financial service, investment advisory and broker-dealer industries to the company. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his juris doctorate from The National Law School of the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
