ABAQUS releases new version of engineering software

ABAQUS Inc., a provider of software for finite element analysis, announced the release of new software that is designed to be integrated into a European element modeling environment called CATIA V5.

The new ABAQUS software puts nonlinear simulation technology at the center of product design and addresses customer-identified work flows for real-world simulation, delivering results users can rely on for making decisions during the design process.

Called ABAQUS for CATIA V5, the software was developed in close cooperation with customers in the automotive and aerospace industries. The program should aid engineers by minimizing time-consuming model re-definition and responding quickly to changes as a design evolves. Engineers can use the program to define thermal or mechanical, such as bolt-tightening connections and pressure loads, along with structural simulation steps.
