Steven Issa has been promoted to regional president and managing director of the R.I./Southeastern Mass. region at Sovereign Bank. He oversees a team of 50 members in five operating units. Issa is also responsible for the oversight of the bank’s community relations activities for the region. He serves on the boards of the R.I. Chamber of Commerce, the Cumberland/Lincoln Boys/Girls Club, Community College of Rhode Island and the Business Development Company of Rhode Island. Issa earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bryant College. He and his family live in Cumberland.
