Louis Sperling has been named vice president for human resources at Rhode Island Hospital. He had worked at Upper Chesapeake Health System in Maryland as vp for human resources, and as vp of human resources and labor relations for Woodward & Lothrop Inc. Sperling earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and a juris doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center.
