Alberto Balestrieri was recently appointed assistant dean of the School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation at Roger Williams University. He will assist the dean in operational and administrative functions in the SAAHP. He had been assistant director of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at Harvard University and MIT. He received a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Montreal before arriving in the U.S. as a pre-doctoral candidate at the State University of New York-Binghamton’s Fernand Braudel Institute in 1986.
