Dr. Alan B. Weitberg, chairman of the department of medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center, has been named to the board of trustees at the center. Weitberg has served as chairman of the Roger Williams Hospital Cancer Committee, the Credentials Committee, Tumor Board, and Co-chair of the Oncology Transition Team. He has also taught at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, the Brown University School of Medicine, and the Boston University School of Medicine. He lives in Newport.
