T.F. Green Airport update

  • Although T.F. Green Airport has been certified to operate, there will be minimal air service today. Some of the carriers are using the day to reposition or ferry-in aircraft.
  • Passengers should continue to check with their airlines by using the 800 phone number or the airline web site for updated schedule information. With the availability of additional aircraft, more flights will be offered tomorrow, but it will be some time before T.F. Green returns to a normal schedule.
  • Due to the increased security measures, delays will be unavoidable. Passengers should expect longer lines at the ticket counters and should not forget to bring photo identification. There will be no curbside check-in or parking in front of the terminal.
  • Only ticket passengers will be allowed beyond the security checkpoint, and there will be an increased police presence on the roadways and in the terminal.
  • Any sharp objects, including nail files or cutting tools will not be permitted in carry-on baggage and should be placed in checked bags.
  • Expect additional delays at the security checkpoint due to random searches and the usage of hand-held metal detectors.
