Monster.com chief to speak at URI

KINGSTON — The chief of Monster.com, a top global online network for career advancement,
will speak at the University of Rhode Island, Tuesday, April 3. The talk by Jeff
Taylor, the founder and chief executive officer of Monster.com, will be held at
7:00 p.m. on the Kingston Campus in the Memorial Union Ballroom. His topic is
“Managing Your Career in the 21st Century.” Through Taylor’s guidance
and leadership, Monster.com catapulted to the number one position in the online
career industry. Monster.com was formed in January of 1999 when The Monster Board
and Online Career Center joined forces to capture the online career market. Taylor,
who founded the Monster Board in 1994, is also the CEO of TMP Interactive, a unit
of TMP Worldwide, the world’s largest recruitment and advertising agency networks.
