General Dynamics unit receives $10 million order

BURLINGTON, VT. — A General Dynamics subsidiary has received an order worth some $10 million from the U.S. Army Operations Support Command for the demilitarization of munitions. The munitions, of various types and kinds, range from 20mm bullets to 2,000-pound bombs, the company said.

The order, to be carried out by General Dynamics Armament Systems, is part of a $35 million, five-year contract awarded to the company in May 1999. The term of the current order is 18 months, the company said.
