Maria Morrison-Barr has been promoted to assistant vice president at Newport Federal
Savings Bank. She joined the bank as a teller in 1988 and was promoted to operations
manager in 1992 and manager of the Newport office in 1997. Morrison-Barr is on
the board of the East Bay chapter of the American Red Cross and was an executive
volunteer for the United Way Campaign. She is a native of Ithaca, New York and
resides in Bristol with her husband and sons.
