Cessna Aircraft reports record backlog

WICHITA, KAN. — Textron unit Cessna Aircraft Co., a maker of aircraft, ended 2000 with a record total backlog of 1,385 units worth $6.6 billion, according to reports.

Cessna reported some $2.8 billion in revenues for the year 2000. Of the 1,541 orders the company received last year, 415 were Citation business jets, 116 were Caravans and 1,010 were single-engine models. The company delivered 254 of the Citations, 92 Caravans and 912 of the single-engine models, according to reports.
