Cambridge Technology cuts 280 jobs

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Bloomberg) — Cambridge Technology Partners Inc., a computer consultant, said it cut about 280 jobs and is lowering its revenue expectations for the fourth quarter. The company, based in Cambridge, said it will take a charge of $4 million to $5 million in the fourth quarter to cover severance costs. About 240 of the affected workers were fired and the rest left through attrition, Cambridge Technology spokesman Patrick Mooney said.
