Richard B. Carpenter
Richard B. Carpenter has been named senior vice president of the Southeastern Shipbuilding Corporation at Quonset Point. Carpenter, an attorney from Wickford, is a co-founder of SENESCO. He initially served as the president and CEO of the corporation at its origination in 1994. He now will include coordinating marketing activities and providing legal services to the corporation. Carpenter has practiced law in Rhode Island for 34 years. He has served on the board of trustees for South County Hospital, the board of directors for Wickford Yacht Club, and was a founding member and president of Historic Wickford, Inc.
CONSTRUCTION
James T. Thien
James T. Thein has been named Gilbane Building Company’s corporate quality manager. With the company since 1990, he has served as project manager and senior project manager. He will work on quality control, and establish and implement quality plans for Gilbane’s Quality in Construction program. He studied civil engineering at the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Ripon College in Wisconsin.

David P. Bourget
David P. Bourget has been appointed Management Information Systems director of Bourget & Associates, Inc. His responsibilities include setting up and maintaining the company’s database as well as developing technology applications for customer service and reporting. Bourget holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and is certified in diamond grading by the Gemological Institute of America.

Richard Robinson
Richard Robinson, a retired police captain with the Cranston Police Department, has been named assistant director of security for the Community College of Rhode Island Campus Police. Deputy Chief Robinson will assist the chief in overseeing the department’s operations, including budgeting, policies, procedures and training on the Warwick, Providence and Lincoln campuses. Robinson was with the Cranston PD from 1978 to 1997. He holds an associate of science degree from Salve Regina University and a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Roger Williams University. He is past president of the Police Relief Association, past secretary of Local 301 International Brotherhood of Police Officers and a member of the R.I. Law Enforcement Emerald Society.

J. Gary Gilbert
J. Gary Gilbert has been promoted to senior principal engineer for Primary Flow Signal, Inc. He will now be responsible for all venturi type and open channel flow type flow measurement products at the firm’s Warwick headquarters facility. He has been with the firm since 1996 and previously held the position of senior product engineer. He will now be responsible for all engineering staff and project coordination in the headquarters location of the firm as well as Oklahoma, Houston, and Canadian operations.

Jennifer L. Martinelli
Jennifer L. Martinelli, a career agent of General Electric Capital Assurance Company, the long-term care division of GE Financial Assurance, is now the call center supervisor. She will be responsible for the supervision and hiring of all the call center’s personnel, as well as meeting the sales goals for the center. Before joining the GE team, she worked as an independent agent in the property and casualty field for eight years.

Anita Pedivis-Leftick, MD
Anita Pedvis-Leftick, MD, has been named director of phototherapy at Roger Williams Medical Center. Phototherapy is the medically supervised use of specific wavelengths of light to treat a variety of skin conditions, including psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, alopecia and pruritas. Board-certified in dermatology, Dr. Pedvis-Leftick also specializes in dermatological conditions such as skin cancer, acne and rosacea. She has offices in Providence and East Greenwich. Dr. Pedvis-Leftick received her medical degree from McGill University, in Canada, and completed her residency at the University of Illinois and Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. She now resides in Cranston.
Allan Freeman
Allan Freeman has been named administrative director of clinical services for St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island. He will oversee the operation of all clinical services at both Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence and St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty Care in Providence. A graduate of the University of Toledo, Freeman received his Master’s degree at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Michael J. Greeley has joined Stauch Vetromile & Mitchell, a high-technology public relations and branding agency with offices in Boston and Providence. In his new position of public relations account director, he will be responsible for leading the account teams for a number of fast-growing technology companies. Prior to joining SVM, Greeley held a senior management position with Collaborative Communications.

Christine M. Holden has recently joined HD Randall, Realtors/Better Homes and Gardens as a sales associate. Currently working in the Charlestown office, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
