BOSTON — Amtrak announced that it would add two more Acela Express trains to
the Boston, Providence, New York service starting April 29. The service will include
two more afternoon round trip trains and weekend service. Amtrak said the Acela
Express service introduced in December has carried 47,000 passengers, 10 percent
more than predicted.
