Honorees will be recognized as Industry Leaders and Women-to-Watch, each in six categories at the event. PBN also will recognize one woman with the Career Achievement award and one woman with the Outstanding Mentor award, for a total of 14 honorees.

This year, the awards ceremony will take place at the Providence Marriott Downtown on May 24 from noon to 2 p.m.

Industry Leaders and Women-to-Watch will be recognized in the following categories: creative services, financial services, health care services, professional services, social services and technological services.

The industry leader recognition is given to a woman who has been working in her profession for 20 or more cumulative years while Women-to-Watch awards are awarded to those with less than 20 years in their profession.

The Career Achievement award typically honors a woman with more than 25 years in a career with exemplary achievement. The Outstanding Mentor award recognizes someone who has demonstrably assisted and helped other women advance in business.

In 2017, Margaret M. “Peg” Van Bree, president of Rhode Island and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals was given the Career Achievement award, while Tia Bush, vice president and site manager for Amgen Rhode Island, was awarded the Outstanding Mentor award.
