BankRI manager elected a Slater Mill trustee

PROVIDENCE – Ida Jobe, manager of Bank Rhode Island’s Pawtucket branch, has been elected to the historic Slater Mill’s board of trustees.
“All of us at Slater Mill are delighted about Ida’s election to our board of trustees,” said Janice Kissinger, executive director of Slater Mill. “BankRI has a well-earned reputation for supporting the community – not only with dollars but with staff who are personally invested in their neighborhoods and local projects.
“As branch manager of the new Pawtucket location, Ms. Jobe will play a significant role in guiding Slater Mill to achieve our goals of increased admission and relevancy to the local community,” Kissinger said.
Jobe joined BankRI in 2005. Before being becoming a manager at the Pawtucket branch, she had served as a retail banking officer and as the branch manager in Lincoln.
She lives in Johnston, where she served on the town Zoning Board of Review. She also is a member of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and the Cumberland-Lincoln Rotary Club.
BankRI has pledged a $1,000 donation to historic Slater Mill, considered the “birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution,” to support projects such as the mill’s turbine rehabilitation and Jencks Education Center. The donation is its fourth in as many years.
