“Cliff brings 30 years of insurance industry experience … and will work with me closely as we continue to implement reforms to get Beacon back on track,” said James V. Rosati, the insurer’s president and CEO. “As interim CEO, Cliff led the company during difficult times with distinction … beginning the process of restoring relations” with the DBR.
Also today, the board said it has named Patrick M. Fletcher to serve as the company’s vice president of claims. He had held the post on an interim basis since April 2006.
Fletcher, who brings more than 20 years’ experience, will oversee the 85-person claims department, which processes about 13,000 claims per year. “Our main goal is to ensure injured workers receive timely and proper compensation and … medical care needed to get back to work,” he said.
Both appointments were ratified by the board at its monthly meeting last night.
