CollegeLink agrees to be acquired

MIDDLETOWN — CollegeLink.com announced that it has agreed to be acquired by TMP
Worldwide for $5.4 million and the assumption by that company of CollegeLink’s
liabilities. TMP, based in New York, is the parent of Monster.com, based in Maynard,
Mass., a Web based job search and relocation agency. CollegeLink gives motivational
talks and offers online services for college bound high school students. The deal
is subject to approval by CollegeLink’s shareholders, the Providence Journal reported.
CollegeLink employs about 15 people in its Middletown office, with another 45
in Cincinnati, Ohio.
