PAWTUCKET, RI, March 26, 2013—The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley (CSBV) will host a wine tasting event on Thursday, April 25th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Wannamoisett Country Club, 96 Hoyt Avenue, Rumford, Rhode Island. Gasbarro’s Wines-Federal Hill, one of the country’s top wine retailers, will present a varied selection of fine wines for sampling. The event includes hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a fabulous silent auction and raffle, live music, and a cash bar. Alison Bologna of WJAR Channel 10 News is the event’s guest emcee. Free parking is available.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $50 per person at the door. Tickets can be purchased by going to the Events page of CSBV’s website or by calling CSBV at 401-722-4626. The show’s flyer can be downloaded from the CSBV’s web site www.csbv.org.
Mark Gasbarro from Gasbarro’s Wines—Federal Hill will lead the wine tasting. A fourth generation business owner, he is known for his expertise in Italian wines. The Gasbarro family has been in the wine business for over 114 years.
The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley cares for abused and neglected boys and girls from all Rhode Island. It has done so since 1979. All of the proceeds from this event will directly benefit the children who need care and rehabilitative services.

About the CSBV
The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley is a private, non-profit safe home. Founded in 1979, it supports abused, abandoned, and neglected children, from a few weeks old to 12 years of age. The program accepts children from all over Rhode Island, providing them with emergency housing, a therapeutic environment with quality care, a trained staff, and a fulltime clinician.
