Cytyc expects FTC to request information on Digene deal

Cytyc Corp., which makes kits to test for cervical cancer, said it expects U.S. regulators to request more information on its proposed $538 million purchase of Digene Corp. Cytyc, based in Boxborough, Mass., will provide the U.S. Federal Trade Commission with any information the agency needs on the planned purchase of Digene, a medical test manufacturer, the company said in a statement on BW HealthWire.
