Keith White joined Rhode Island Children’s Crusade, located in Providence, as an education data analyst. He is responsible for the gathering and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data on the organization’s performance and program effectiveness, providing continuous reflection on best practices. White completed his doctorate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He and his wife live in Providence.

White: My position requires that I assist in the direction of data collection, analysis, and report efforts. Specifically, I act as a liaison/interpreter between enormous amounts of complex data and the Crusade’s directors, staff, and stakeholders.
PBN: What do you like about your new organization?
White: The most exciting thing about the Crusade, aside from its proactive approach to program services, is its willingness to be a research-in-action, reflective practice organization.
PBN: What inspires you about your new job?
White: The most inspirational component is this organization’s dedication, passion, and fervor for making a positive, lasting difference in students’ lives.
PBN: Who has been your mentor, role model?
White: My parents and maternal grandmother have had the most influence in my life, education, and career. They emphasized the importance of education, provided me with the tools and support I needed to meet and exceed my goals, and made clear the necessity to work toward an equitable and just society.
