WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Corp. saw same store sales increase 12.8 percent in February over the same period a year ago, with pharmacy same store sales increasing 20.1 percent.
The company’s total sales for the same period increased 15 percent to $1.7 billion, compared to $1.48 billion during the same period a year ago, with total pharmacy sales representing 66 percent of the total company sales for the month.

For the first eight weeks this year, CVS reported a same store sale increase of 12.5 percent compared to the year-ago period, with pharmacy sales increasing 19.5 percent. Total sales for the eight-week period increased 14.7 percent to $3.33 billion, compared to $2.90 billion during the same period last year.
