Funding restored for Tax Clinic

The Internal Revenue Service has restored funding to the Rhode Island Tax Clinic. The clinic, which will receive $85,000 from the IRS through a matching grant, provides state and federal tax assistance to low-income residents of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Providing tax assistance and advice to over 100 clients a year, in 2001 the IRS recognized the Low Income Tax Clinics one of the top performing clinics in the country.
