GTECH announces second quarter results

WEST GREENWICH – GTECH has announced earnings for the second-quarter and first six months of fiscal 2002, ended August 25, 2001. Revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2002 totaled $236.6 million, an increase of 3.9 percent over the $227.6 million of revenues in the second quarter of fiscal 2001. Net income was $16.6 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, compared with net income of $6.3 million, or $0.18 per diluted share in the second quarter of last year, excluding the impact of special and additional charges.
