GTECH signs pact with Luxembourg lottery

WEST GREENWICH — GTECH Holdings Corp. announced that it had signed a six-year
contract with Loterie Nationale in Luxembourg to start an online lottery system
in the country. GTECH will build and install 500 instant ticket validation systems
and 150 lottery terminals throughout the country. The company predicts that the
contract will produce revenues of between 12 and 15 million dollars over the life
of the contract. Luxembourg is the last country in Europe without an online lottery
system, a GTECH spokesman reported.
