KVH gets $3.9 million order for navigation system

MIDDLETOWN – KVH Industries announced that it has a $3.9 million order for its TACNAV FOG tactical navigation system for use aboard U.S. military vehicles. The contract is from an unspecified prime contractor, KVH reported. The system offers a range of capabilities, including global positioning, vehicle position, and when linked with a battle management system can offer a commander jam-proof position data to improve operational effectiveness. KVH is based in Middletown and has a fiber optic research and manufacturing facility in Tinley Park, Ill., and a European sales office in Denmark.
