JOHNSTON – Jonathan Mariner, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Major League Baseball, has been elected to the board of directors of Rhode Island-based insurance giant FM Global.
“Jonathan Mariner brings to FM Global’s board extensive fiscal and risk management experience along with his diverse background in operations management, information technology and human resources,” said Shivan S. Subramaniam, chairman and CEO, FM Global. “As a mutual insurance company owned and governed by our policyholders, his wisdom will help ensure FM Global continues to be attuned to our policyholders’ needs.”
Mariner previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Charter Schools USA, and executive vice president and chief financial officer for MLB’s Florida Marlins.
A certified public accountant, Mariner has an accounting degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s of business administration from Harvard Business School.
