Naomi R. Thompson has been appointed associate vice president of community, equity and diversity at the University of Rhode Island. Thompson has served at Northeastern University for the last 13 years, most recently as the associate director of the office of institutional diversity and equity. Thompson holds a B.A. in philosophy and arts from Colgate University and a law degree from Suffolk University. •
