Nestor Inc. announced yesterday that its subsidiary, Nestor Traffic Systems Inc., has entered into a subcontract agreement with ACS State & Local Solutions to provide CrossingGuard to Baltimore after a demonstration of the system during November 2003. Nestor will install and maintain 60 new CrossingGuard installations throughout the city. ACS currently provides red light enforcement services to the City of Baltimore at 47 approaches and will continue to support and maintain these systems.
“The expansion of Baltimore’s existing program will make it the largest automated red light enforcement program in the United States and bring added benefits including full video-based evidence, no roadbed loop construction, and no strobe lighting needs,” said Nigel Hebborn, CEO of Nestor Traffic Systems, in a release distributed by Business Wire.
