Nestor files additional patent lawsuit

Nestor Inc. has filed an additional lawsuit for patent infringement against Australia’s Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., which has offices in Arizona and California.

Nestor had already announced that it would bring additional claims for patent infringement against Arizona-based Transol USA Inc. Original infringement claims against both competitors were filed in November 2003. In a release, Nigel P. Hebborn, chief operating officer for Nestor, said his company introduced the use of digitized video in a red light enforcement system in 1998

“Nestor’s product includes features and technology that are unique and proprietary and we will continue to aggressively protect these assets from third party infringement,” Hebborn said.
