John Murphy has been named president of the board of directors for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, a non-profit organization located in West Warwick which solicits, stores and distributes food products to 586 member agencies. He has been a member of the Food Bank board since 1994, most recently serving as its treasurer. Murphy graduated from Providence College in 1987. He resides in North Providence with his wife and daughter.
