Providence — July 25, 2013 — PACE Organization of Rhode Island (PACE®) announced today that the organization’s Co-Founder and CEO Joan Kwiatkowski has been appointed a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Boston University’s School of Social Work.
As a member of the board, Kwiatkowski will provide support and guidance to Dean Gail Steketee, PhD, at the BU School of Social Work, which was ranked one of the top ten graduate schools for social work in the country by the U.S. News and World Report in 2012.

Kwiatkowski has over 20 years of experience in health care administration. In addition to her position at PACE, a nonprofit medical service provider for frail elders, she has worked as a senior executive at Lifespan Health System in Providence, and at Northeast Health System in Beverly, Massachusetts. She is both an alum and former faculty member of the MSW program at BU, as well as the recipient of a Nonprofit Business Management Certificate from Stanford University.
Kwiatkowski also participates in many state and national efforts focused on integration of care, chronic disease management, and new business models in health care. She’s served on the faculty at Tufts Medical School and Providence College, and published in the areas of case management, integration of health care and community and hospital collaborations. She has presented at many national conferences on related topics.
