Raytheon gets $89 million Stinger missile pact

LEXINGTON — The Raytheon Corp. has been awarded an $89 million contact by the
U.S. Army for 1,007 Stinger Block 1 missiles and equipment for foreign missile
sales to Italy, Greece and the United Kingdom, PRNewswire reported. Completion
date for the contract is 2004. Production of the missiles will be distributed
among Raytheon facilities in Tucson, Arizona, Farmington, New Mexico and other
locations in other countries. The Stinger Block1 is a short range air defense
weapons system.
