The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council will hold a special signing ceremony to celebrate the hard work and contributions of some of the major stakeholders who developed and adopted the CRMC’s Greenwich Bay Special Area Management Plan (SAMP), on Friday, June 17 at the Warwick City Hall Council Chambers at 10 am.
As part of the ceremony, representatives and officials from the CRMC, the RI Department of Environmental Management, the City of Warwick, the Town of East Greenwich and the Citizens Advisory Committee will all sign a letter of commitment to continue their work in achieving SAMP goals.

SAMP goals include the development of leaders and stewards to coordinate and implement actions that protect the unique resources of Greenwich Bay, improving the Bay’s water quality, maintaining a high quality fish and wildlife habitat in its watershed, improving recreational opportunities along the Bay and its shoreline and enhancing water-dependent economic development.
