How do you think COVID-19 will change your industry going forward? COVID-19 forced changes to the way commercial, industrial and residential buildings are used. It showed that buildings need to be versatile, and along with that the fire protection systems must be versatile to accommodate unexpected and fast-moving changes.

What is the best advice you have ever received? The person who has the most to win or lose in your career is you.

What was your first job? Umpiring Little League games at 14 years old. Getting yelled at by sports parents toughens you up very quickly.

What moment changed your life more than any other? Moving to Rhode Island a decade ago. My wife and I have made incredible friends here and have both started careers that we’re fully invested in.

What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? I have to go with the official appetizer of Rhode Island: calamari.

What was your last Netflix or Amazon Prime binge watch? “Better Call Saul.”

What are you looking forward to doing again the most post-pandemic? Going to Citi Field with my dad to see a New York Mets game.

What is your favorite song? “Someday Never Comes” by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
