Robert Smith joins Rhode Island Hospital as the director of endocrinology. He will focus on the development of the Hallett Center of Diabetes and Endocrinology. Smith had worked as the associate research director for Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and is a professor of medicine at Brown Medical School.
