Joan Breakell are happy to announce the sale of their company to Angel Luis Gonzalez, Designer and
Platinumsmith, who also owns The Platinum House in the Brick Market Place in Newport.
J.H. Breakell & Co. designs are wel known locallly through their Newport store and workshop at 132 Spring
St., Newport where customers can see the metalsmiths at work creating the jewelry which can be purchased
in the adjoining newly renovated store. Their catalog and online store www.breakell.com reach thousands of
customers across the country. “We are very fortunate to have had such an enthusiastic clientele and a
talented and loyal staff for so many years”, say the Breakells. “It is with great pleasure that we hand over
the reins to Mr. Gonzalez with his assurance that the traditions of quality, originality, and excellent customer
service we have worked to establish will continue.” Mr. Gonzalez, who has thirty years of experience in
custom design and jewelry making, began his career in a large mail order company and is thrilled to return
to his beginnings as the new owner of J.H. Breakell & Co.
