Catherine Bolster, an employee of Citizens Bank of Rhode Island for 11 years who provides colleague support at the Citizens Bank Technology and Support Operations Center in Cranston, won a new car through the bank’s “Loyalty Has Its Rewards” program.

The giveaway program – sponsored by Citizens’ corporate parent, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc – celebrates and rewards employees’ service to the company. Each month, RBS electronically draws a winner’s name from its pool of employees with the title of vice president or below who have a satisfactory performance rating and five or more years of service.

Bolster won a 2007 fully loaded S40 Volvo, valued at $30,000. Citizens will pay the taxes and one year of car insurance premiums. She is the first Citizens Bank of Rhode Island winner from this program.
