Steven M. Lynch has been named vice president of operations and technology at Providence’s DefendNet Solutions, Inc., a provider of managed Internet security solutions. He will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic and tactical direction in the areas of new product development, operations, provisioning, material procurement and information systems. Lynch previously served as vice president for data engineering and operations at Teligent, a global provider in broadband connectivity, and vice president at Citicorp’s global information network division where he was responsible for the day-to-day operation and design of Citicorp’s global router network. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
