Step away from your computer, turn off your TV and come play!

Providence Children’s Museum presents its annual gala on Friday, April 29 from 6:30 PM to 12 midnight at the Museum (100 South Street in Providence). With a theme of “Unplugged – The Way to Play,” the evening will celebrate the importance of unstructured play and the Museum’s role in providing play and learning experiences for all children and families.

Over 300 guests are expected to enjoy this festive and fun evening featuring silent and live auctions, music, cocktails and delicious bites from Emery’s Catering. The event will honor The American Academy of Pediatrics, RI Chapter for their support of children’s play and healthy development. Dress is cocktail attire.

Individual tickets are $100; sponsorships start at $1,500. All proceeds benefit Providence Children’s Museum and will help provide play and learning opportunities for children and families in needs.

“Unplugged” is presented by honorary chair Jay Howell of Barrington and event co-chairs Joe and Nancy Kimball of East Greenwich, Ted and Kristen Haffenreffer Moran of Rumford, and Ken and Joan Rotella of Smithfield. Providence Children’s Museum – play is powerful!
The Museum is located at 100 South Street in Providence’s Jewelry District. September through March, open Tuesday through Sunday and Monday school holidays, 9 AM to 6 PM, and selected Fridays until 8 PM. April through August, open 7 days. Museum admission is $8.50 per person; always free for Museum members.
