Verizon opens new dispatch center in Providence

PROVIDENCE — Verizon has moved its dispatch center from Pawtucket to Providence,
adding about a dozen jobs in the process. The relocated dispatch will bring 100
employees to the company’s main office on Washington Street in Providence. Maintenance
and installation workers are assigned and directed from the center throughout
Rhode Island and into Southeastern Massachusetts, south of Taunton and east to
Cape Cod and the islands.
