Webster names Boston region head

BOSTON – Webster Bank continues to increase its presence in Massachusetts, recently naming its first market president in the Boston region.
Paul Mollica, who has worked as senior vice president and regional manager for Webster in Boston since 2007, will be based in Webster’s regional flagship office at 110 Franklin St. in Boston. Webster Bank, subsidiary of Waterbury, Conn.-based Webster Financial Corp., said Mollica will focus on commercial banking and coordinate the bank’s business and community affairs activities in greater Boston.
Before joining Webster in 2007, Mollica had held various roles for Bank of America, including regional president/market executive for the Boston market and senior client manager/senior vice president. Mollica also served as a senior vice president/division head for middle-market banking at Eastern Bank for five years, covering the Boston market.
Mollica is a director of the South Shore YMCA and is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and an MBA from Suffolk University.
