PROVIDENCE, RI (September 1, 2009). Starting today, YMCA members in Rhode Island and Massachusetts have even more places to follow their health and wellness routines.

The YMCAs in these two states have joined together through a new reciprocal agreement to allow members to use any facility in the area. Now, no matter where they are in RI and MA, there’s a Y where they can swim, take classes, use the fitness center, and much more, all at no additional cost.

“We’re so excited about our partnership with the YMCAs of Massachusetts,” said YMCA of Greater Providence President & CEO Karen Leslie, “This agreement adds so much value to existing memberships and really demonstrates our commitment to helping people get healthy and fit, no matter where they are.”

The agreement is particularly helpful to families and individuals who travel throughout the two states during the course of the day. Instead of rushing to get home to their local Y, they can take advantage of any facility along the way helping them keep their commitments to personal and physical development.
