BOSTON – Zefer Corp., an Internet consultant has closed its Boston office and fired 300 employees, the Boston Globe reported. The company has also sold some of its assets, including client accounts, to NEC Corp., a Japanese corporation. The Globe said Zefer was offering jobs to 180 of the employees fired by Zefer. Before closing down, Zefer’s directors had considered bankruptcy, the Globe reported.
